Day 2 – Yoga in Sicily

Day 2 – Yoga

A chance to recover after strength in Day 1.  It’s a simple plan based on sun salutations, so you can familiarise yourself with yoga.  There’ll be a video in the members section during September for those of you who have never done yoga before.

In this picture I’m testing Day 2 at the edge of the Sicilian mountain-top town of Enna.  An amazing place – so much history, but the town feels young and alive.  One of the highlights of our trip so far.

Day 1 – Strength in Rome

Day 1 – Strength

The first training plan is all about strength – a great way to boost your metabolism and improve your tone.  Girls, there’s no need to stress – you’re not going to bulk up.  A little extra muscle mass is the perfect tool for reducing body fat and maintaining these changes.

Everything you do in Day 1 is based on time, with the sets getting a little longer in each of your 3 rounds.  Something to look forward to on September 1st!

I’m testing the lunges just above the Roman Forum on an early morning adventure, while the rest of the tourists are still sleeping.

Creating Spring

As most of you will have realised by now, Spring is my ‘thing’.  Fitness is such a big part of my day-to-day life – it’s my passion and it’s how I make a living.  Combine my love of fitness with the impact Mum’s depression had on my childhood, and it makes sense that Spring is my priority.  The thing is, I have 2 other big loves – my husband and travelling.

James and I got married in April this year, making 2011 a somewhat impractical year to launch a major campaign and create 90 training plans (30 each for beginner, intermediate and advanced).  I am determined to make Spring a success no matter what, so I’ve combined all of the above and am creating Spring, 30 Days of Feel-good Fitness as I honeymoon around Europe.  Watch this space to see how each plan is pulled together and to follow our European adventure……
