FAQs
Payment
How much does it cost?
$30 for individuals, paid by paypal, directly with your credit card or by bank transfer. Contact us for a corporate quote.
How much goes to charity?
We can guarantee that at least $20 of your $30 will go to charity. Once we’ve covered our running costs, everything else goes to On The Line.
Can I get a discount?
Yes. You can get a discount if your employer is a wellness partner or if you manage to get a large group involved. Spring is proud to support fundraising groups. Check out http://www.springfitness.com.au/getting-involved/ for more information.
Is this a charity donation for tax purposes?
No. Because you receive training plans in return for your donation, the tax office does not see this as a charitable donation.
Can I claim it on health insurance?
Spring does not have a provider number for health insurance.
Can I get a refund?
Due to the charitable nature of Spring, we do not offer refunds. Please read all about Spring and look at a taste of spring before signing up.
Are my credit card details safe?
Absolutely. We only use secure payment systems.
Do you have other payment options?
If for any reason you cannot pay via paypal, please e-mail support@springfitness.com.au and we will send you our bank details.
Getting started
When can I sign up?
If you sign-up October-June, you will have access to the previous Spring. To sign up for Spring 2013, join between July 1st and September 1st this year.
What if I want to sign up during September?
That’s fine. You can join in with everyone else as soon as you sign up and will have access to the plans you’ve missed.
Is it for me?
How do I know if I’m fit enough?
If you can move, you can do Spring. Plans are available in beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. If there are some plans that you can’t follow, just do the exercises you can do. Anything is better than nothing.
I’m pregnant or just had a baby – are you sure it’s OK for me to train?
Check with your doctor first. As long as you have no complications, you can follow the beginner or intermediate training plans. You will need to avoid a few exercises, contact us to request a copy of our pregnancy fact sheet. Also remember, pregnancy is not a time to get fit, it is simply a time to stay health and maintain your previous fitness level.
Am I too old?
Never! Choose the plans that suit your fitness level and give it a go. Strength training is particularly important as we age, so make sure you don’t miss the resistance days.
Am I too young?
Participants need to be at least 14 years old to take part in Spring. Participants aged 14-17 must have their parent or guardian agree to the terms and conditions.
Does it matter where I live?
Not at all. All you need is internet access. Once you’ve ticked that box, you can live anywhere and have access to the same training as the rest of the country.
Do I have to….
Do I have to log my mood?
No. But it is recommended. By logging your mood each day, you’ll think more about how you feel and will be able to see the impact training has on your mood.
Do I have to train every day?
No, most people don’t. Simply aim to train as often as you can – every day for a month is the ultimate goal.
Do I have to use your training plans?
Not necessarily. If you already do your own training, keep it up. You can use Spring as a source of new ideas, a place to ask training questions and a simple way to track your mood.
Do I have to follow the diet?
Not at all. But it’s a great way to benefit even more from your 30 Days of feel-good Fitness.
How it works
How do I get the training plans?
We’ll send you an e-mail every Friday with a link to the members area of the website. Once you’ve logged in, you’ll see all of the plans you need for the week. You can also log in from your mobile device, so you can have the digital version with you as you train.
Where do I train?
Anywhere you like – at home, at work, in a park, at the gym…….
Who do I train with?
You can train on your own, with workmates, with friends or get your family involved.
What if I do my own training?
It’s fine to do your own training instead. The aim is to move as much as possible for a month and see how this improves your mood. So get out and do something for 30 minutes, whether it’s our plan or yours.
Do I need any equipment?
No. Our plans use bodyweight, hills, stairs and sometimes a bench or similar. You can add a skipping rope if you like.
What if I don’t understand the plans?
You can e-mail support@springfitness.com.au or post questions in our facebook locker room. Also check out the videos we have online – some of them may answer your question.
What happens if I miss a day?
That’s fine, as long as you get into it again the following day (or, if you’re unwell, as soon as possible). You can do the plans you missed after Spring finishes.
I can’t do some of the plans – what should I do instead?
If there is anything you can’t do, replace it with one of the plans you’ve already done. Or you could go for a walk, run, swim, cycle….. you get the idea.
How do I get the diet?
The 30-day overview is in the members area of the Spring website. Each Wednesday we’ll put up the recipes you need for the following week and post a shopping list, making it easy to get organized.
Is it the same as last year?
The training plans are all slightly different – we want to keep it interesting! There’ll be a mixture of things you’ve already done and new challenges. We’re also adding a fitness test, body measurements and mediation podcasts.
Spring at work
How do I get my workplace involved?
Workplaces with 50 – 50,000 staff can get involved. Give us a call or contact support@springfitness.com.au to find out more. When you contact us, let us know how many staff you have and if your employer is likely to contribute to your training.
What’s included for Spring wellness partners?
Our wellness plans vary from a discount for staff taking part to a comprehensive package, including free participation, co-branded e-mails, on-site workshops, presentations and more.
Does Spring provide communication material?
Yes. We’ll provide e-mails, posters, press release templates and a timeline to help you to deliver these effectively.
How much does it cost to provide Spring at work?
It depends on the size of your organization and the package you choose.
Is our organisation too big for Spring?
Not at all. The on-line nature of Spring means we can cater to very large organisations spread over multiple locations.
Is our organization too small for Spring?
If you have less then 15 staff, it’d be better to simply encourage employees to sign up. If the employer would like to pay for participation, contact us to discuss participant tracking and invoicing.
When do we need to sign up to become a corporate wellness partner?
We sign up corporate wellness partners from November 1st-June 30th each year.
